Job summary

A leading network of commercial truck dealerships seeks a Mobile Technician/Mechanic to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. Required qualifications include at least two years of related experience and a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs as per dealership standards and update service advisor on repairs.

Mobile Technician/Mechanic - Fort Lauderdale

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and performs repair.
  • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Technician must be able to appropriately interact with customer.
  • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicates with service advisor/dispatcher immediately on repair updates and or delays.
  • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Ensures that vehicle is kept clean. Notifies service advisor/dispatcher immediately or anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns the to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Operates all tools/equipment in a safe manner and reports any safety issues immediately to management.

Preferred Candidates have the following:

  • Two plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma- College or Technical training preferred, but not required

Commensurated with experience up to 100 annually.
