Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Mobile Plant Mechanic.
• Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Possession of relevant trade certifications and a valid driver's license.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor and work in various environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy mobile plant equipment, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and cranes.
• Conduct routine maintenance and preventative servicing to minimize breakdowns and ensure equipment longevity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in a timely manner.
• Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults accurately.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repair work, and parts used.
• Ensure all work performed complies with company safety standards and relevant industry regulations.
