Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced mobile and backend engineer in Cape Town to design, build, and maintain mobile applications plus backend services. You will develop RESTful APIs, contribute to architecture decisions, and translate business needs into scalable solutions.

Collaborate with product owners, operations, and leadership while troubleshooting full-stack issues. You will provide timelines, maintain documentation, and continuously improve tools and workflows as the platform evolves.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mobile development experience with Flutter and Dart.
• 3+ years of backend development using C# and ASP.NET.
• Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs in production.
• Solid understanding of SQL/relational databases.
• Experience with ORM tools such as Entity Framework Core.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or similar).
• Proficiency with Git-based version control.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and gathering requirements.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
