Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join one of the country's leading Facilities Management companies working in and around the North West, including Preston, Bolton, Chorley, etc.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and hold electrical qualifications such as NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations or maintenance, and 18th edition as a minimum.

The role involves working as part of a team at various retail sites in the region, undertaking a range of building maintenance duties. The primary responsibility is to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant.

Duties:
  1. Support other technicians with maintenance work, both major and minor.
  2. Complete all necessary PPMs and reactive maintenance schedules within agreed timescales, ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed.
  3. Prioritize and complete minor maintenance and repairs promptly.
  4. Ensure all tools and equipment needed for maintenance are available and functional.
  5. Attend other sites within the cluster as required, despite being aligned to a specific area for PPMs.
  6. Work with company and client colleagues to maintain high standards of quality.
  7. Represent the company professionally and develop good working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  8. Perform all tasks in accordance with specific KPIs.
  9. Monitor and update the Mercury system accurately, providing live job updates.
Qualifications:
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in electrical installations / parts 1 & 2 or recognized apprenticeship equivalent.
  • 18th Edition.
Salary / Package:
  • Basic Salary: £35.56 plus standby payments (£38.56 all in).
  • Paid Travel Time.
  • Overtime at 1.5x Monday to Friday, 2x Saturday and Sunday.
  • Call Out: 1 in 4.
  • Private Healthcare.
  • 33 days holiday.
