Brand and Communications Lead at Remote Metering Solutions

Job Summary / Purpose of Role:

The MMDA Team Coordinator is responsible for efficient scheduling, coordination, and daily management of the meter reading field operations. This role ensures that all buildings are manually read on schedule, resources are properly allocated, and meter readers are equipped to perform their duties. The coordinator plays a key role in troubleshooting issues related to building access, PDA devices, and site assignments while maintaining clear communication with all relevant parties, including UAs, CSLs, and the billing team. Additionally, the coordinator manages documentation, claims processing, and continuous routing optimization to ensure smooth and effective operations. The purpose of this role is to provide organizational support and leadership to ensure all operational tasks are completed accurately and on time, contributing to the overall success of the meter reading function.

Key Accountabilities

Areas of responsibility and the deliverables expected (KPI’s)

  • Scheduling & Coordination: Responsible for creating monthly and weekly schedules, ensuring efficient routing for meter readers, and managing daily site assignments to ensure completeness.
  • Resource Management: Coordinates with meter readers, ensuring they have the necessary resources, access, and information, including resolving onsite queries and phone-related issues.
  • Building Management: Adds/removes buildings in the MRS tool, manages building access queries, and ensures unsubmitted meters are escalated for quality assurance.
  • Claims & Documentation: Prepares accommodation documents, biweekly/monthly claims, and ensures proper documentation submission for approval.
  • PDA & Device Management: Oversees device setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Team Support: Assists with site shuffling, building date changes, and ensures smooth operations, particularly when managing leaves.
  • Reporting: Submits the monthly reading schedule to the billing team and ensures all assignments are completed on MeterConnect.

Duties

  • Daily building checks for assignment completion.
  • Preparing weekly schedules and weekly efficient routing for all manual readers.
  • Liaising with UAs on inactive and rescheduled buildings.
  • Monitor the completion of readings for all assigned buildings.
  • Reassign incomplete buildings or unsubmitted readings to other available readers to ensure they are completed on the same day.
  • Address and resolve any device-related issues (e.g., PDA malfunctions) while on site to prevent delays in readings.
  • Assist meter readers encountering access issues or any other difficulties on site.

  • Adjustments to the schedule

Qualification and Experience:

•2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in scheduling and operations

•Familiarity with manual meter reading is advantageous

•Basic computer literacy, with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

•Proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
