Job summary

Takealot Group is seeking a Product Manager in Machine Learning to own the ML roadmap for key AI focus areas in Cape Town. You will work with merchants and supply chain teams, translating business needs into ML initiatives and delivering end-to-end projects with a cross-functional team of ML engineers and data scientists.

You will define success metrics, balance long-term vision with short-term wins, and evangelise ML across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional ML/data product initiatives.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into ML roadmap and measurable outcomes.
• Proven track record of delivering ML/data products at scale.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver ML roadmap for AI focus areas (Merchants, Supply Chain).
• Collaborate with business units to identify ML opportunities and prioritise projects.
• Lead ML engineers to meet quarterly roadmap milestones and report success metrics.
• Define and track business impact and North Star metrics for your vertical.
