Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, inspect and commission equipment at customer sites or on premises. You will report results, manage tools, and support the sales team with technical input to drive customer value.

The role requires a trade certificate, 2+ years as a Field Service Technician for earth-moving equipment, own tools and a Code 08 license, with experience in electro-hydraulic and PLC systems in a surface mining environment.

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate of Competence, if possible Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrical, Millwright
• Minimum 2 year experience working as Field Service Technician with proven competence as Earth moving Equipment Technician
• Own set of tools
• Code 08 license
• Experience in fault finding / electro hydraulic / auto electrical / hydraulic / PLC, remote control offerings
• Surface mining environment, maintaining earth moving equipment
• Understanding of the following machines: Sandvik Earth moving equipment

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, inspect and commission products and equipment at customer site or premises.
• Report and document results after above actions.
• Responsible for plan, conduct and maintain tools and equipment for service work.
• Support the customer’s product/equipment/processes by suggesting possible improvements.
• Provide technical support to the sales team.
• Provide problem solving to customer.
• Ability to produce positive results in sales-client interventions.
• Guide colleagues in service methods and tools.
