Job summary

Anglo American is seeking a Category Advisor for Mining Equipment to support commercial activities across the portfolio. The role focuses on developing category strategies, supplier partnerships, and value delivery within a safe, sustainable procurement framework.

The successful candidate will contribute to agile supply chain practices, manage contracts, and drive social and environmental governance while aligning with the company’s standards and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical
• National Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics Management/Procurement or a relevant discipline on NQF6
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management/Procurement or a relevant discipline on NQF7 is preferred
• SA Driver's Licence: Code B (Light Vehicle)

Responsibilities

• Actively support development of category strategies through data gathering and analysis.
• Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers to drive value and deliver innovative solutions.
• Identify opportunities for improved procurement value, risk mitigation, and supplier collaboration.
• Develop and execute sourcing events, contracting, and contract management activities.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and supplier engagement align with global standards.
