Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mining Engineer to join our team, based in South Africa or the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and execution of open pit and underground mining projects, from concept through to Feasibility Studies (FS). This role offers the opportunity to contribute to global mining study work, support the Mineral Resources team in defining volumes for RPEEE reporting, and assist with business development initiatives in the mining sector.

Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in mining engineering, with a focus on both open pit and underground operations. Experience in project design, execution, and Feasibility Studies (FS) is essential.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in mining software and strong knowledge of mining design principles, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Global Exposure

Experience working on international projects and collaborating with diverse teams across different regions.

Mineral Resources & Reporting

In-depth understanding of resource estimation, volume calculation, and reporting for RPEEE compliance.

Business Acumen

Ability to contribute to business development initiatives and support the growth of the organization through technical leadership and strategic planning.
