Job summary

AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is sourcing a Civil & Structural Engineer for a Commissioning Phase role in the Northern Cape mining sector. The client seeks an experienced engineer to oversee civil/structural aspects, drawings, documents, and commissioning protocols.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Civil/Construction Engineering and 5–10 years of mining industry experience; PMP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent in Civil/Construction Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering within the mining industry.
PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, manage, and implement civil and structural aspects of all project packages, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
Oversee the management and handover of all related drawings, documents, and commissioning protocols.
Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards throughout all project phases.
Act as the project coordinator, collaborating with business partners to resolve engineering and site-related issues.
Track project tasks and schedules, analyze key risks, and proactively highlight potential issues.
Conduct quantity certification and quality checks to maintain high standards.
Ensure projects are completed within the allocated time and budget constraints.
