MINER (Grading C2)

Job Specification

1. Grade 11 or equivalent NQF4 qualifications
2. Valid Blasting Certificate for Metalliferous Mines
3. Minimum 2-3 years’ previous experience in Trackless Mining
4. TMM, Conventional Development, Stoping, and Hydropower drilling experience
5. A Mining Production Supervisor Certificate will be advantageous.
6. Proficiency in English and any other of the 11 official languages
7. Computer literacy will be advantageous.
8. South African Driver’s License (Code 8-10) essential
9. South African Citizenship
10. Clear Criminal Record

Responsibilities

1. Provide support and implement best practices within the mining section(s).
2. Ensure all blasting activities within the designated area are efficiently executed and controlled to meet production goals.
3. Plan, supervise, and control subordinates on both stoping and development activities.
4. Ensure equipment and material availability to optimize production.
5. Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”.
