Placements24 is seeking a qualified Mine Surveyor for our client in Rustenburg, North West. You will perform underground surveys, establish control networks, and produce survey plans and contours to support safety and production planning.

The role requires a National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying, a Competency certificate, at least 4 years underground experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Deswik, and 3DReshaper. Willing to work underground.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate surveys of underground mine excavations, including tunnels, stopes, and shafts, in Rustenburg .

• Prepare detailed survey plans, cross-sections, and contour maps using specialized surveying software.
• Monitor and record changes in mine workings due to production and development activities.

Requirements

• Proficiency in mine surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Deswik, 3DReshaper).
• Strong knowledge of geodetic surveying principles and underground survey control methods.
• Experience with digital survey data processing and analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work underground in varying conditions in Rustenburg .
• Understanding of relevant South African mining legislation and safety protocols.
