Qualifications

• Minimum 10-15 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie minière, dont 5 ans au niveau de superviseur.
• Expérience en minage souterrain.
• Connaissance de la machinerie mobile sans piste.

Responsibilities

• Gérer l'opération de la section en attribuant des plans de travail aux superviseurs de quart.
• Assurer la sécurité en respectant et en améliorant les normes.
• Établir des contrôles de production pour une utilisation optimale des plans de production.

Job description

Kalagadi Manganese is a female owned Mining Company in Southern Africa and is one of the world’s leading Manganese producers.Kalagadi Manganese Mine is situated in the town of Hotazel 70km from Kuruman, Northern Cape Province.ROLE DESCRIPTION:Responsible for managing and directing the various activities within a specified section of the mine. Ensures specified targets are met and allocated resources are used effectively. Select and appoint personnel and exercises safety control measures.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining Health and Safety by ensuring that standards are adhered to and improved upon in the section.
• Manage the operation of the section by allocating work plans to Shift Supervisors.
• Establish production controls to ensure optimum utilization of production plans.
• Grade 12.
• Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency.
• Blasting Certificate.
• A minimum of 10 - 15 years' experience in the mining industry, with a minimum of 5 years at mine overseer level.
• Disciplined and have a high moral attitude.
• Trackless Mining Experience (Bord & Pillar).
• Knowledge of Trackless Mobile Machinery.
• Knowledge of factors that drive production output.
• Production planning.
• General water and air reticulation network.
• Roadway maintenance philosophy.
• Labour control and management.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience related to underground mining.
• Knowledge of principles, practices and procedures for underground mining.
• Excellent organisation skills and written communication skills.
• Strong Leadership and Management Ability.
• Ability to work in a multinational/multicultural environment.
• Medically fit for duty.
