Job summary

Afrique Connection Consultancy seeks a Diesel Mechanic - TMM for a full-time, on-site role in Barberton, Mpumalanga. The job focuses on maintaining and repairing trackless mobile machinery and diesel-powered equipment, diagnosing faults, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure safe operation.

Requirements include Grade 12 and 5 years of TMM experience, with at least 3 years underground. Experience with common TMM makes is a plus.

Qualifications

Grade 12 (NQF level 4) or equivalent.
5 years' experience in a TMM environment, with 3 years underground.
Experience with TMM MAKES such as Aard, Fermel, GHH, Atlas, GMG, Sandvik, Bird Machines is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Comply with Mine Health & Safety Act, COPs, SOPs and SHE policies.
Identify, report, and control hazards and risks.
Complete planned maintenance tasks per schedule.
Complete job cards, service sheets and hand-over reports; apply lock-out procedures.
Perform repairs according to OEM and workshop standards.
Test and sign off systems post-repair.
Record work in machine history log/file.
Complete lubrication, inspections and service checklists.
