Job summary

iMedrecruit in Randburg is seeking a reliable Basic Life Support (BLS) Medic for a shift-based role in a mining environment. You will deliver prompt emergency medical care, perform CPR, use AEDs, manage airways and provide first aid.

You will inspect equipment, maintain records, coordinate handovers, and work with mine Health and Safety teams to ensure patient confidentiality and compliant practice.

Qualifications

• Respond to medical emergencies and workplace incidents; provide BLS within scope of practice.
• Perform CPR, use AED when indicated, manage airways and control bleeding.
• Monitor patients and coordinate referrals and transport; provide accurate clinical handovers.

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical emergencies, injuries and incidents and provide BLS.
• Perform CPR, use AED, manage airways and provide wound care.
• Inspect ambulance and equipment; report faults and stock issues.
• Keep ambulance and equipment clean and ready for deployment.
• Follow mine safety procedures and infection-control requirements; participate in drills and is emergency activities.
