MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Mimecast Brand Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations and overall success of the Mimecast brand within First Distribution. This role encompasses sales management, operational efficiency, partner engagement, marketing alignment, and strategic vendor collaboration. The Brand Manager will drive sales growth, enhance brand visibility, and ensure the delivery of gross profit and rebate targets while maintaining brand integrity across all touchpoints.
Mimecast Brand Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities.
Sales & Business Development
- Drive Gross Profit targets by managing and growing the Mimecast reseller base.
- Identify and recruit new resellers to expand market presence.
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies and partner development plans.
- Conduct bi-weekly sales reviews with the Line Manager.
- Support and onboard resellers across operational, technical, and sales functions.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date opportunity reporting through CRM systems.
- Achieve and report on sales targets, pipeline development, and deal progression.
- Drive product adoption and program participation across the reseller channel.
- Ensure adherence to call plans, sales forecasts, and weekly reporting protocols.
Brand Performance & Operational Excellence
- Align Mimecast brand strategy with First Distribution’s regional sales goals.
- Execute vendor business plans, strategies, and quarterly business reviews.
- Understand and communicate vendor programs, incentives, and product portfolios.
- Monitor and manage brand profitability including P&L, budgeting, and rebate attainment.
- Maintain inventory health through stock management and avoidance of aged stock.
- Ensure accurate product codes, pricing, and rebate calculations.
- Ensure team certifications are up to date and product knowledge is current.
Marketing & Enablement
- Take ownership of Mimecast marketing plans in collaboration with EMMC and vendor marketing teams.
- Conduct partner and customer enablement initiatives.
- Drive brand awareness and market share growth through strategic marketing execution.
- Analyze market competition and adjust go-to-market strategies accordingly.
- Develop a Business Development Plan that outlines key sales and marketing initiatives.
- Align marketing activities to regional needs and ensure consistency across campaigns.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Mimecast and First Distribution.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendor stakeholders and internal departments.
- Communicate brand performance, forecasts, and pipeline updates regularly to the vendor.
- Collaborate on strategies to meet joint goals and exceed vendor expectations.
People Management
- Supervise and coach Mimecast Sales Specialists, ensuring performance aligns with KPIs.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and team collaboration
Internal Training
- Participate in the onboarding learning program and complete all necessary training certifications.
- Continuously stay updated on product changes and certifications relevant to Mimecast.
Requirements
- A relevant IT Diploma or Degree is advantageous
- Proven background in cybersecurity and SaaS-based email security solutions
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Development or Brand Management within the IT Industry
- Experience in vendor management, budgeting, and commercial planning

- This is a permanent position subject to a successful three-month probationary period.
