Job Description

A qualified Artisan is needed to install, maintain, test, and commission electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems at the plant. The role also involves working on electrical transmission and distribution equipment and performing preventative maintenance.

Requirements

• Grade 12/NQF4
• Strong mechanical and electrical experience in both fields is essential
• 2-5 Years relevant experience
• Code B driver's license
• Valid Trade Certificate: Millwright is essential
• Clear Criminal Record

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reduce breakdowns and downtimes to limit unnecessary costs
• Install, maintain, repair, and commission electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems
• Report machine failures and record them accurately
• Continuously improve equipment and installation measures
• Ensure scheduled preventative maintenance is performed
• Comply with Occupational Health and Safety standards
• Perform fault finding and problem solving on electrical equipment
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure quality of services and products
• Complete all training requirements
• Mentor employees to follow standard practices for quality and efficiency
