A leading company is seeking a Millwright for their packhouse in Tarlton, West Rand. The ideal candidate will ensure effective maintenance of machinery, conduct inspections, and provide leadership to the maintenance team. With 5 to 10 years of experience and an N4 Millwright Diploma, you will play a key role in minimizing plant stoppages and ensuring operational efficiency. This position offers a competitive salary package of R25,000 to R30,000 per month.

• N4 Millwright Diploma mandatory.

MILLWRIGHT POSITION - WEST RAND - TARLTONPurpose : To ensure effective and efficient maintenance of packhouse machinery to eliminate plant stoppages by adhering to planned maintenance schedules and ensuring timely restoration of machinery in the event of a breakdown.

The position will be based in the packhouse and will report to the line manager.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide assistance to the maintenance team by ensuring SOP's / BRC standards are followed during any required maintenance.Ensure preventative inspections are carried out in line with the planplete tasks that have been allocated in line with all maintenance requests, and follow up on repairs.Liaise with external parties in case of outsourced maintenance.Ensure availability of critical spares for all machines.Ensure effective greasing of machines.Ensure high percentage of plant availability by minimizing stoppages / breakdowns.Provide training where necessary.Report all deviations to the line manager.Ensure good housekeeping and safe operating conditions.Skills RequiredMechanical and Electrical background.People management / Supervisory skills.Problem solving.Good communication.Decision making.Attention to detail.Ability to act quickly when a problem arises.Desired Experience & QualificationEducational Requirements : N4 Millwright Diploma.Matric.5 to 10 years' experience.Package & RemunerationR25 - R30 pm
