Overview
We are looking for a skilled and qualified maintenance technician / Millwright to join a dynamic and ever growing manufacturing / process company in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned maintenance and routine preventative maintenance tasks.
- Attend to immediate plant malfunctions and ensure equipment reliability.
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
- Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, blueprints, service manuals and work orders to perform the required work.
Job requirements
- Minimum two years experience as a maintenance technician in a process/manufacturing environment or similar.
- Must have completed Red Seal trade certificate for qualification as a Millwright (no exceptions).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Willing to learn and work with your hands.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English; willingness to learn Dutch. Proficiency in Afrikaans or Dutch is crucial, as all safety regulations and manuals are in Dutch. Candidates should be committed to learning spoken and written Dutch quickly.
- Willing to work shifts.

- €4,171 gross income per month (Junior Position). Please verify eligibility for sponsorship under this salary threshold on the Netherlands government site. Exceptions cannot be made.

- Must have completed Red Seal trade certificate (Millwright) for basic qualification; trade certification is an NQF 4 national diploma. We do not accept only NATED certifications without completion of the Trade test.

- Fluent in Afrikaans and English; willingness to learn Dutch. Proficiency in Afrikaans or Dutch is crucial, as all safety regulations and manuals are in Dutch. The company is based in the north of the Netherlands where English is spoken by only about 30% of locals.

Location: South Africa, relocation to The Netherlands. The role involves relocation and potential international mobility.
