Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our King Foods team. The role focuses on maintaining plant production equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency through preventative maintenance.

You will perform planned maintenance, electrical and mechanical repairs, and troubleshooting to keep equipment running and reduce downtime, with strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Matric (or equivalent) and related qualifications.
• N3 Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and Millwright Trade Test.
• 3+ years as Millwright in manufacturing/FMCG.
• Experience in FMCG and electro-mechanical environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventative maintenance to ensure machinery reliability.
• Repair and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
• Inspect, lubricate, and adjust equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Rewire electrical machinery to improve performance and safety.
• Overhaul spare or outdated machinery to reduce downtime.
• Install, align, and assemble machinery for production needs.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedule and company procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement to maximize plant efficiency.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and provide reports.
