Job summary

Premier FMCG is seeking an on-site maintenance professional to maintain equipment and plants, providing electrical and mechanical support to sustain production continuity.

The role requires N3/N4, Matric and a Red Seal trade test, with PLC/SCADA knowledge and a focus on safety and GMP compliance. You will coach trainees and work a shift schedule as per the roster in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• N3/N4 qualification in a relevant field.
• Matric/Grade 12.
• Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate machine reliability problems and take action to ensure continuity of manufacturing.
• Facilitate and lead problem-solving; provide inputs to maintenance lead for improvements.
• Record and analyze breakdown trends per machine using a maintenance system.
• Render support on ad hoc projects to renovate/ refurbish machines and installations.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health & GMP requirements through process/document controls.
• Provide on-the-job coaching for Handyman and Apprentices as required.
• Supervise, train and coach Technical Operators on SOPs and work instructions.
