Job summary

Skills Connector is seeking a Trade Tested Artisan Millwright for our food manufacturing site in Pretoria. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

3–5 years of artisan experience, a Millwright qualification, and a valid driver's license are required, along with strong mechanical and electrical skills, and the ability to follow planned maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Trade Tested Artisan Millwright with 3–5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Wiremans License (Optional).
• Valid Drivers License and strong mechanical/electrical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily checks on machinery, recording faults and raising to Maintenance Manager.
• Practice health and safety and food safety procedures at all times.
• Adhere to lockout systems and complete planned maintenance within time frames.
• Report deviations from planned schedule to Maintenance Supervisor and monitor breakdowns.
• Complete building and facility maintenance tasks and participate in stocktakes.
• Plan for spares/equipment and ensure projects finish on time and within budget.
• Conduct root cause analysis on breakdowns and implement process improvements.
