Job summary

Rayal Industrial (Pty) Ltd in Pretoria seeks an experienced Millwright to diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on production equipment. The role requires a recognised Millwright trade certificate and at least 5 years' post-trade experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant.

You will trace faults in electrical control circuits, motors, PLCs and HMIs, read drawings, and respond to breakdowns.

Qualifications

• Recognised Millwright trade test certificate.
• 5+ years' post-trade experience in manufacturing/industrial plants.
• Ability to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults independently.
• Hands-on fault-finding on PLCs, HMIs, VSDs and electrical circuits.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and mechanical schematics.
• Willingness to work shifts and attend to breakdowns when required.
• Experience with ceramic or tile production equipment, furnaces or kilns, and Siemens or other industrial PLC systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults on production equipment.
• Trace faults on electrical control circuits, motors, variable speed drives, PLCs and HMIs.
• Respond to breakdowns and work with maintenance teams to restore production.

Minimum requirements

• Recognised Millwright trade test certificate.
• At least 5 years' post-trade experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing or industrial plant.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults independently.
• Hands-on experience fault-finding on PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, variable speed drives and electrical control circuits.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and mechanical schematics.
• Willingness to work shifts and attend to breakdowns when required.

Experience with ceramic or tile production equipment, furnaces or kilns, and Siemens or other industrial PLC systems will be an advantage.
