JOB TITLE: Millwright Apprentice

ROLE DESCRIPTION

In this role, the incumbent will hold a temporary assignment as an apprentice, learning and applying technical skills to support the business through restorative and preventive maintenance. The apprentice will be expected to learn from their facilitators and mentor(s) and complete all reasonable tasks as requested by the business.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering Diploma &/or N3 (Mechanical & Electrical)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be prepared to work in industry in both engineering and operations environment
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Full-time attendance to all classroom and practical training
• Completion of technical tasks, mechanical and electrical
• Participation in on-the-floor equipment maintenance as prescribed by the program details
• Participation in technical problem solving
• Closure of tags as part of corrective maintenance activities

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Team player
• Fluent in English
• Prepared to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments
• Able to work shift and extended hours when required
