Qualifications

About the role

We are thrilled to announce a new opportunity for a Millwright Technician at our customer site, De Beers, in Musina to join our multi skilled team for a period of 6 months.

As we continue to shape the future of mining through our exciting partnership with De Beers, the Millwright Technician will play a pivotal role in maintaining the overall effectiveness of equipment and plant on site. This includes providing both electrical and mechanical support. The successful candidate will be based on-site at Venetia, located in Northern Transvaal, 32km south of the Limpopo River in the Limpopo Province, in the north-east corner of South Africa. This role is crucial in our mission to strengthen, grow, and evolve the future of mining services.

What you will be doing

Perform Routine and Preventive Maintenance: Ensure optimal performance of equipment through regular maintenance.

Diagnose and Repair: Identify mechanical and electrical issues, and repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools.

Conduct Inspections: Ensure machinery meets manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.

Collaborate on Projects: Work with engineers, electricians, and other maintenance personnel on projects and upgrades.

Maintain Records: Keep accurate maintenance records and report issues to supervisors.

Follow Safety Policies: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Provide Shift Reports: Give detailed feedback on work progress at the end of every shift.

What you will bring

Grade 12 with a Minimum NQF 5 Electro-Mechanical qualification;

Millwright Trade Test Certificate, Red seal Section 13;

A minimum of 5 years fitting, electrical and instrumentation experience on a process plant;

Underground mining experience will be beneficial;

Valid code 08 driver’s license;

Ability to work independently.
