Job summary

Istaff Recruitment is seeking a qualified Millwright for a food and beverage operation in South Africa. You will be responsible for maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment, with emphasis on fault-finding and problem solving.

The role requires a Trade Certificate and at least 3 years' experience, SAP exposure, and strict adherence to OHS Act and cgmp/FSSC22000 standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Millwright with Trade Certificate and 3+ years in food and beverage maintenance.
• Experience maintaining mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• SAP experience and knowledge of the OHS Act.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment and perform faultfinding.
• Inspect equipment and analyze proposed modifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance and investigate breakdown causes.
• Attend call-outs and stock maintenance consumables.
• Read and interpret electrical and basic mechanical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with OHS Act and safety rules; uphold cgmp, FSSC22000 and quality standards.

Requirements:

Qualified Millwright with Trade Certificate. Minimum 3 years work experience in food and beverage industry Ability to conduct maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment. SAP experience Fault-finding and problem solving skills. Knowledge of the OHS Act (safety legislation) is essential.

Duties:

Maintenance & repair of equipment Faultfinding Inspection of equipment Analyze proposed modifications and provide input Preventative maintenance activities Investigate and analyze the cause and effect of breakdowns on equipment Standby & attend to call-outs Stocktaking of maintenance consumables Compliance of H & S Read, interpret and understand electrical and basic mechanical drawings Ensuring compliance with OHS Act, Regulations and company safety rules. Ensuring compliance with relevant cGMP, FSSC22000 and company quality standards Identify where Quality and Safety matters can be improved
