Millwright

Are you a skilled Millwright looking to make your mark in the fast-paced world of FMCG manufacturing? Join my clients' team at a well-established food manufacturer in Germiston! You MUST have 2 years' experience post-trade with PLC faultfinding and maintenance experience.

Minimum requirements :

1. Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal).
2. PLC faultfinding and maintenance experience.
3. 3 years’ Millwright experience in the FMCG industry.
4. 2 years' experience post Trade.
5. Experience with High-Speed Continuous Operations.

Duties and responsibilities :

1. To anticipate and identify possible machine reliability problems, which could appear and take appropriate actions to ensure manufacturing process continuity.
2. To facilitate and problem-solving processes; provide inputs / suggestions to the Maintenance Foreman for continuous improvement.
3. To record and analyse breakdown trends per machine using a maintenance system in order to motivate equipment improvement or purchases.
4. To render support on ad hoc projects e.g. renovate and refurbish machines / installations and commission in order to optimise process flow.
5. To ensure compliance with relevant Food Safety, Health Safety and GMP Requirements through the maintenance of process and document controls according to SOPs.
6. To provide on job coaching for Handyman and Apprentices as and when required in line with the company's Leadership promise.
7. To supervise, train and coach Technical Operators regarding SOPs and work instructions to ensure best operating practices.
