Millwright

A market leader in red meat production, processing, and export is looking for a qualified Millwright to join their Maintenance Team in City Deep. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled artisan with expertise in mechanical & electrical repairs, factory equipment maintenance, and food processing environments.

Qualification and Experience

• Qualified Millwright or Electrician (Trade-Tested)
• National Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering

Advantageous

• 3+ years’ experience in the meat or food processing industry

Highly Preferred

• 3+ years in factory maintenance & repair

Mechanical & Electrical

• PLC Fault Finding & Troubleshooting

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical & electrical maintenance on all factory equipment.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting & repairs.
• Diagnose and fix PLC, VSD, and inverter faults.
• Maintain and repair air & hydraulic systems.
• Work in temperature-controlled areas (0°C to -25°C) when required.
• Monitor critical spare parts & report stock requirements.
• Ensure adherence to OHS & food safety standards.
• Assist in new installations, commissioning & factory upgrades.
