Job description

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain all equipment to required standards and respond to production needs and equipment failures.
  2. Assemble and install machines, then test them to ensure they are working correctly.
  3. Work in full compliance with approved safety regulations.
  4. Manage LOTOTO procedures, issue work permits, and supervise contractors.
  5. Manage the layout and placement of equipment and machinery to ensure minimum downtime.
  6. Identify and repair problematic parts of machines by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts.
  7. Oversee preventive maintenance by identifying potential issues, removing worn-out parts, and lubricating mechanical components.
  8. Operate machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts.
  9. Develop training materials to train operators on efficient equipment operation.
  10. Identify critical spare parts and ensure their availability to reduce breakdowns.
  11. Investigate root causes of major breakdowns.
  12. Identify and report potential asset care problems during inspections.
Who We Are Looking For
  • Qualification: Matric or equivalent / N3 with a Trade Test as a Millwright.
  • Language: Strong proficiency in English and the local language.
  • Professional Experience and Passion: At least 6 years of relevant experience as a Millwright in a production or manufacturing environment.

Exposure to PLCs and AC drives is required.

Hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance skills in both mechanical and electrical areas are essential.

Prepared to work overtime and do call-outs to meet production needs or address equipment failures.
