A leading plastic injection moulding company based in Germiston is looking to appoint a Qualified Millwright to join our maintenance team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled individual who is mechanically and electrically proficient, with solid experience in the manufacturing environment, and preferably, in plastic injection moulding.
We are seeking a reliable and professional candidate who can operate effectively in a fast-paced production environment during day shift operations, ensuring machinery and equipment perform at optimum efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical fault-finding on injection moulding machines and related equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Work closely with production teams to support operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Assist in improving machine performance and implementing upgrades where necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
• Trade-Tested Millwright Qualification (Red Seal).
• 10+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference for plastic injection moulding.
• Solid knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
• Proven experience with preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management abilities.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
