At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we’re hiring highly technical cloud computing architects to help our partners develop technical expertise and capacity, while collaborating with our customers and partners on key engagements. Our consultants deliver proof-of-concept projects, topical workshops, and lead implementation projects focused on solutions such as web applications, enterprise applications, HPC, batch processing, big data, archiving, disaster recovery, education, and government.

Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and focusing on customer success. Our team collaborates across AWS to bring access to product and service teams, ensuring the right solutions are delivered and driving feature innovation based on customer needs.

Key job responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience.
  • 5+ years of database experience (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis).
  • Experience in consulting, designing, and implementing serverless distributed solutions.
  • Experience managing complex, large-scale projects with external or internal customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Node.js, Bash, Ruby, Perl) and experience with Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible at scale.
  • Technical expertise in Cloud Computing technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise security solutions such as WAF, IPS, Anti-DDoS, SIEM.
  • Experience developing enterprise security strategies for cloud adoption.
  • Understanding of industry standards like PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST, or DoD frameworks.
