Are you a cloud-native thinker who thrives on transforming legacy applications into scalable, cloud-optimized solutions? We’re looking for a Migration Engineer specializing in Refactor and Replatform patterns to lead complex cloud migration projects into AWS. This role demands hands-on experience in application redesign, CI/CD-driven migrations, containerization, and working across multi-disciplinary teams to drive modernization at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead refactor, rebuild, and replatform application migrations from on-prem to AWS or AWS-to-AWS.
2. Design and build modern, cloud-optimized architectures in collaboration with developers and architects.
3. Migrate applications using CI/CD pipelines with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern DevOps practices.
4. Manage end-to-end cloud migration processes, including containerized workloads, application logic, and data.
5. Facilitate the AWS Control Tower Account Vending Machine (AVM) for account setup and compliance.
6. Provide technical leadership across matrixed teams: developers, DBAs, cloud engineers, testing teams, and operations.
7. Configure and maintain both Windows and Linux operating systems in cloud and hybrid environments.
8. Ensure robust security, performance, and scalability across all deployed solutions.
9. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to align migration plans with business outcomes and compliance standards.
10. Contribute to playbooks, automation scripts, and reusable migration templates for future scalability.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in application modernization using refactor, replatform, or rebuild patterns.
2. Strong background in server/application migration (on-prem to AWS and AWS to AWS).
3. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation).
4. Hands-on experience with AWS services: ECS, EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, Control Tower.
5. Experience migrating and managing containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
6. Deep understanding of AWS compute, storage, networking, and security services.
7. Strong system administration knowledge of both Linux and Windows platforms.
8. Experience working in regulated and mission-critical environments.
9. Familiar with security controls, IAM, encryption, and cloud governance practices.
10. Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
