Job description

Are you a cloud-native thinker who thrives on transforming legacy applications into scalable, cloud-optimized solutions? We’re looking for a Migration Engineer specializing in Refactor and Replatform patterns to lead complex cloud migration projects into AWS. This role demands hands-on experience in application redesign, CI / CD-driven migrations, containerization, and working across multi-disciplinary teams to drive modernization at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead refactor, rebuild, and replatform application migrations from on-prem to AWS or AWS-to-AWS.
  • Design and build modern, cloud-optimized architectures in collaboration with developers and architects.
  • Migrate applications using CI / CD pipelines with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern DevOps practices.
  • Manage end-to-end cloud migration processes, including containerized workloads, application logic, and data.
  • Facilitate the AWS Control Tower Account Vending Machine (AVM) for account setup and compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership across matrixed teams : developers, DBAs, cloud engineers, testing teams, and operations.
  • Configure and maintain both Windows and Linux operating systems in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Ensure robust security, performance, and scalability across all deployed solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to align migration plans with business outcomes and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to playbooks, automation scripts, and reusable migration templates for future scalability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in application modernization using refactor, replatform, or rebuild patterns.
  • Strong background in server / application migration (on-prem to AWS and AWS to AWS).
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services : ECS, EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, Control Tower.
  • Experience migrating and managing containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).
  • Deep understanding of AWS compute, storage, networking, and security services.
  • Strong system administration knowledge of both Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Experience working in regulated and mission-critical environments.
  • Familiar with security controls, IAM, encryption, and cloud governance practices.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
