Role Purpose :
Coordinate and maintain all aspects of payroll processing and salary remuneration, as well as maintain and enhance a professional Human Resources service to the Company by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resource policies, programs, and practices.
Qualifications / Experience
- ENQF 6 or higher HR qualification
- 10 years experience in HR management / advisory role in a diverse working environment
- Strong industrial relations experience
- Sound knowledge of employment law and its practical application
- 5-year VIP Payroll experience including eFiling
- Competency in Compeasy and COID experience
Key Responsibilities :
- Advise and support the HOD Team to achieve and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory obligations
- Develop and maintain company policies and procedures
- Develop and support management / employee consultation processes
- Manage pay and benefits
- Build a culture of continual improvement aligned with our purpose, aspirations, resident focus, and values
- Prepare EE reports and annual submissions in line with the succession plan
- Prepare and submit annual WSP & HWSeta reports
- Provide end-to-end HR administration services, including employment matters, recruitment, advice, training, performance management, job descriptions, employment contracts, and employee surveys
- Support managers with employee relations issues, CCMA preparation, and representation
- Ensure payroll administration standards, including EMP / IRP5 submissions, employee benefits management, and payroll processing
- Oversee employee recognition and exit interview programs
- Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act regarding employee records
- Prepare reports for Social & Ethics and HR Committee, and represent to the Board of Directors
- Manage committees related to employment equity and provident funds
- Implement and monitor performance management approaches
- Manage payroll accounting, processing, leave management, and related administrative tasks
- Support health and safety compliance, including COID requirements
