Job summary

Eskom is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead sourcing and procurement strategies for commodities, services and capital infrastructure. You will drive value through effective supplier relationships and integrated operational plans.

The role requires 7 years of procurement experience and a B degree or BTech in a relevant field, with MCIPS certification preferred. This is a permanent on-site position based in Sunninghill, Gauteng.

Qualifications

• B Degree/ B Tech in Procurement / Commerce / Finance / Supply Chain Management at NQF 7 with 360 Credits.
• 7 years’ Experience in a Procurement environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies to acquire goods and services.
• Ensure long-term mutually beneficial relationships with customers, partners and Eskom executives and managers.
• Direct and manage supplier relationships and ensure SLAs meet customer expectations.

About the Role

To manage and direct the implementation of sourcing and procurement strategies to acquire goods and services in terms of commodities, services and capital infrastructure in a most effective and efficient manner that delivers measurable & sustainable value to Eskom.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and ensures that long term, mutually beneficial relationships are developed and maintained with customers, business partners and Eskom executives and managers - Implementation of integrated operational strategies and work plans - Directs, implements and managers effective processes, policies and procedures - Implementation of supplier relationships management strategies - Ensures that all SLAs meet customer expectations and formulates appropriate methods to share business information with all stakeholders - Management of Human and Financial Resources
