About the job: Mid to Senior Diesel Mechanic

Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Mid to Senior

Location: Cape Town, South Africa

Company: The Legends Agency seeks a 3 to 5-year Diesel Mechanic or a Master with 10+ years of experience, with remuneration to be discussed for the latter.

Salary: R23,500 - R26,000 per month for 3-5 years of experience

Incentive: R6,000 - R12,000

Standby: R120 per day + vehicle + R100 per breakdown + pay per hour worked

Job Summary

Our client is seeking Diesel Mechanics ranging from entry-level to experienced to join their team. The successful candidates will be responsible for servicing and maintaining trucks and commercial vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and other commercial vehicles.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
3. Conduct quality checks on repaired vehicles to ensure standards are met.
4. Adhere to legal and company Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
5. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
6. Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order.
7. Provide excellent customer service and support.

Requirements

• Matric certificate.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Valid South African Code 10 (EC) driver's license or willingness to acquire one.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in multiple languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Sober habits and reliability.
