Job summary

Atrax Logistics SA is seeking a hands-on Software Developer with 5+ years of experience to design, build and maintain internal software solutions across logistics platforms. Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Mid to Senior Software Developer who is technically strong, solutions-driven, and able to turn business requirements into practical, reliable applications and systems.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on Software Developer with solid experience in application development, system integration, databases, APIs, automation, and web-based solutions.

This is not an AI Developer position. The successful candidate will focus primarily on software development and systems improvement, while making use of modern development tools, including AI-assisted development platforms, where appropriate.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand operational challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and design and develop solutions that improve efficiency across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain internal software applications and digital tools.
• Develop and maintain web-based applications, dashboards, portals, and internal systems.
• Build and maintain integrations between internal and external systems using APIs and other integration methods.
• Work with databases, including the development and optimisation of queries, data structures, and reporting solutions.
• Develop workflow and process automation to reduce manual administration and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications and integrations.
• Translate business and operational requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Assist with the ongoing development and improvement of internal logistics, warehouse, reporting, customer service, and administrative systems.
• Develop solutions that are secure, scalable, maintainable, and appropriate for a commercial environment.
• Conduct appropriate testing before solutions are released into production.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for applications, integrations, processes, and system changes.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting where required.
• Work with management and internal stakeholders on technology improvement and digital transformation projects.
• Utilise modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding platforms, where these improve development efficiency and quality.
• Minimum 5 years' professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on development experience in C# and/or other modern programming languages.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Practical experience developing and consuming REST APIs and system integrations.
• Experience developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining production applications.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, application architecture, workflow logic, and database design.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of development projects from requirement gathering through to implementation.
• Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders and translate operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong documentation and testing discipline.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with front-end and back-end web development.
• Experience with API development and third-party system integrations.
• Experience with automation frameworks and workflow automation.
• Experience developing internal business applications, dashboards, reporting tools, or operational systems.
• Experience with cloud-based environments and modern deployment practices would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms would be advantageous.
• Exposure to logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, e-commerce, or operational systems would be advantageous.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment where practical solutions and continuous improvement are important.
