Job description

Work model : Hybrid 3 days a week in office from Bedfordview (JHB)

Salary : R35 000 - R55 000 CTC depending on experience

A dynamic creative team within a small integrated ad agency is looking for a copywriter with exceptional creative writing and attention to detail.

Only candidates with strong traditional advertising experience will be considered. I.e., not digital or content writing; they're looking for someone with TVC (TV commercials) and either shopper marketing or retail experience.

Responsibilities :
  1. Generate creative ideas and concepts collaboratively or independently
  2. Excel in a fast-paced environment with high-volume workload and short deadlines
  3. Elevate copywriting standards to resonate with target audiences and drive engagement
  4. Adapt tone and style according to industry, company, or audience
  5. Collaborate with Strategy to align messaging with marketing initiatives
  6. Present concepts professionally and incorporate client feedback
  7. Maintain engagement from concept to final execution within deadlines
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
  9. Develop a deep understanding of allocated brands and competitor landscape
  10. Participate in internal sessions to ensure project success
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures
  12. Complete additional duties as needed
Experience and Skills :
  1. Minimum 3 years' experience in copywriting within an integrated agency
  2. Experience with FMCG / OTC / Alcohol brands preferred
  3. Proficient in PowerPoint and virtual collaboration tools
  4. Strong strategic thinking and communication skills
  5. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
