Job summary

Afrique Connection Consultancy is seeking a Mid-Level Interior Designer / Interior Architect (Revit) to join their Cape Town Woodstock studio and contribute across the full project lifecycle, from concept development through to site implementation.

The ideal candidate has a B.Tech in Interior Architecture/Design or equivalent, 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience, and a proficiency in Revit; strong drawing, detailing and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Interior Architecture/Design or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience delivering projects from concept through to documentation, procurement and implementation.
• Proficiency in Revit (essential).
• Strong technical drawing, detailing and documentation skills.
• Understanding of construction methods, buildability, materials and finishes.
• Strong organisational, coordination and administrative skills.
• Interest in AI and emerging digital tools is a plus.
• Cape Town-based, able to work from Woodstock studio: Mon-Thu 09:00–17:00, Fri 08:00–16:00.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across the full project lifecycle from concept development through site implementation.
• Produce technical drawings, detailing and documentation with accuracy.
• Coordinate with contractors and manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
• Liaise directly with Project Leads to ensure deliverables meet design intent.

About this position

About the role

Our client is a leading design studio specialising in high-end residential and hospitality projects. They are looking for a talented Mid-Level Interior Designer / Interior Architect to join their Cape Town team and contribute across the full project lifecycle, from concept development through to site implementation.

Requirements

• B.Tech in Interior Architecture/Design or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• 3 to 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Experience delivering projects from concept design through documentation, procurement and implementation.
• Proficiency in Revit (essential).
• Strong technical drawing, detailing and documentation skills.
• Solid understanding of construction methodologies, buildability, materials and finishes.
• Strong organisational, coordination and administrative skills.
• Interest in AI and emerging digital tools would be an advantage.
• Must be Cape Town-based and able to work from the Woodstock studio: Monday to Thursday 09:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-16:00.

Key considerations

Revit expertise is non-negotiable. The studio’s entire workflow is built around Revit, so candidates must be confident and experienced users.

Beyond the technical requirements, the ideal candidate takes ownership of their work packages and sees projects through from start to finish. They should be comfortable managing multiple projects at once, liaising directly with contractors and staying composed in a fast-paced environment.
