Job summary

dlk is seeking a Mid-Level Enterprise Architect to lead data governance and knowledge management initiatives aligned with strategic directives. You will help define policies, roles, and governance forums to ensure cohesive data practices across the organisation.

The role requires 3+ years in Enterprise Architecture, with hands-on experience in data governance, policy analysis, and knowledge management. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to mature the organisation's knowledge

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as an Enterprise Architect.
• Experience with data governance frameworks and implementation.
• Knowledge management frameworks and enterprise architecture methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate requirements gathering with stakeholders and document aligned to organisational strategies.
• Review data management policies, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Establish and implement data governance structures, including roles, terms of reference, and governance forums.
• Develop data taxonomies and data dictionary, manage data asset inventories.
• Design a Knowledge Management maturity roadmap aligned to enterprise directives.
• Ensure all deliverables align with enterprise architecture principles and governance frameworks.

Role Overview

The Mid-Level Enterprise Architect will support the organisation in driving the development and implementation of data governance and knowledge management strategies. The role focuses on aligning organisational processes, policies, and frameworks with broader strategic directives to ensure effective data management and institutional knowledge practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate requirements gathering processes, including stakeholder engagement, documentation, communication, and change management aligned to organisational strategies
• Review existing data management policies and strategies, identifying gaps and recommending improvements aligned with best practices
• Support the establishment and formal implementation of data governance structures, including:
  • Defining roles and responsibilities
  • Developing terms of reference
  • Coordinating governance forums and workshops
  • Establishing reporting mechanisms
• Develop and formalise data taxonomies, including:
  • Data dictionary creation
  • Data asset inventory management
• Design and develop a Knowledge Management maturity roadmap aligned to organisational directives
• Ensure alignment of all deliverables with enterprise architecture principles and governance frameworks

Requirements

Requirements Minimum Requirements NQF 6 or higher tertiary qualifications and Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Enterprise Architect and Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Solutions Architect
