Job summary

Transport and Logistics sector external client in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to shape the future of its digital landscape. This permanent, on-site role focuses on strategic architecture leadership across business transformation initiatives.

You will design and analyse business processes, define architecture standards, and collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Logistics and Customer Platforms to translate needs into effective architecture solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years' experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Business Architecture, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience supporting complex business and digital transformation initiatives.

• Conduct functional and application architecture analyses to support business initiatives.

This is a permanent on-site role based in the Eastern suburbs of Johannesburg

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years' experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Business Architecture, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience supporting complex business and digital transformation initiatives.

Technical Expertise

• Strong experience in process modelling and architecture documentation using Draw.io or similar tools.
• Good understanding of enterprise integration principles including:
  • API's
  • ESB
  • ETL
• Experience managing or analysing application portfolios and enterprise landscapes.
• Familiarity with LeanIX or comparable Enterprise Architecture repositories.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience evaluating architecture requirements during software selection and procurement processes.

What You'll Be Doing

Strategic Architecture Leadership

• Provide hands-on architectural guidance and support across business transformation projects.

Functional & Application Architecture

• Design and analyse business processes and functional capabilities across domains such as:
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • Logistics
  • Shipping
  • Customer Platforms
• Define application architecture, integration strategies, and solution blueprints.
• Support technology selection processes, vendor evaluations, and RFP activities.
• Maintain and enrich the enterprise application landscape using LeanIX.
• Develop and update architecture standards, principles, and best practices.
• Facilitate architecture workshops and stakeholder engagements.
• Contribute to the continuous evolution and maturity of the Enterprise Architecture function.
