Microwave Technician at PRIVATE

We have 5 positions for Microwave Communications Technicians.

Will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of microwave radio communication systems, including components like antennas, waveguides, and amplifiers.

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues within the microwave transmission infrastructure, ensuring optimal signal strength and network stability. Additionally, they may conduct site surveys to determine the best equipment placement and perform radio frequency (RF) testing and analysis.

Applicants must have:

• at least 5 or more years experience as a MW Technician including supervising a small team, and be able to work at heights.
• have a technical qualification in electronics or similar qualification relevant to MW transmissions.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• knowledge of Safety procedures and OHSAct.
• up to date fall arrest certificate.

Must be able to work unsupervised in remote areas.

Must be prepared to travel within South Africa for work related projects.

Must be able to read basic drawings.
