AWS Data Engineer

The AWS Data Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining Big Data Pipelines using Data Platforms and must ensure that data is shared in line with the information classification requirements on a need-to-know basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Exceptional analytical skills analyzing large and complex data sets.
2. Perform thorough testing and data validation to ensure the accuracy of data transformations.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with precise documentation.
4. Self-driven team player with ability to work independently and multi-task.
5. Experience building data pipelines using AWS Glue or Data Pipeline, or similar platforms.
6. Familiar with data stores such as AWS S3, and AWS RDS or DynamoDB.
7. Experience and solid understanding of various software design patterns.
8. Experience preparing specifications from which programs will be written, designed, coded, tested, and debugged.
9. Strong organizational skills.

Experience developing and working with REST APIs is a bonus. Basic experience in Networking and troubleshooting network issues.

2. Certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified SysOps Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified Architect Associate, AWS Certified Architect Professional, Hashicorp Certified Terraform Associate
3. Automotive industry experience
4. Terraform
5. Python 3.x
6. Py Spark
7. Boto3
8. ETL
9. Docker
10. Powershell / Bash
11. Must have 3 – 5 years working experience
12. 3 – 5 years experience in working with Enterprise Collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA
13. 3 – 5 years experience developing technical documentation and artifacts.
14. Knowledge of data formats such as Parquet, AVRO, JSON, XML, CSV
15. Experience working with Data Quality Tools such as Great Expectations
16. Knowledge of the Agile Working Model
