Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related life science discipline.
• Prior laboratory experience in a microbiology setting.
• Proficiency in microbial culturing techniques and media preparation.
• Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Good organizational skills and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Perform aseptic techniques for microbial cultivation and manipulation.
• Prepare growth media, reagents, and solutions according to established protocols.
• Inoculate, incubate, and maintain various microbial cultures.
• Assist in conducting experiments, including DNA extraction, PCR, and plate assays.
• Sterilize equipment and maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
• Record experimental data accurately and meticulously in laboratory notebooks.
• Support inventory management for laboratory supplies and consumables.
