Job description

Sales Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our sales team and drive the achievement of revenue goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies and managing key client relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Assist the DOSM in maximizing hotel revenues by driving contributions from MICE & Production segments through various sources.
  2. Source new business while maintaining existing client relationships to maximize hotel revenue and sales.
  3. Promote and sell promotional activities at the hotel to increase sales and customer retention.
  4. Maximize total hotel revenues from rooms, banquets, and outlets.
  5. Handle various segment accounts and maximize revenue through cold calling and face-to-face appointments.
  6. Build relationships and maintain contacts with Production Houses, Groups, Conferences, and Incentives accounts, making 15–20 sales calls per week or as required.
  7. Stay informed about hospitality industry trends, customer needs, and developments in other industries.
  8. Host clients for FAM trips, hotel site inspections, and entertainment to increase market visibility and educate segments about hotel capabilities.
  9. Ensure weekly and monthly sales reporting.
  10. Follow the sales process from lead generation to booking and repeat cycle.
  11. Pass key market information, new supply updates, and competitor trends to the DOSM.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in the travel, tourism, or hotel industry.
  • Proven track record in Production & MICE segmentation.
  • Strong relationships within these segments.
  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Sales & Marketing or Hotel Management.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle for appointments.

Package & Remuneration: Market-related package plus an annual performance bonus.
