- FSCA Approved Qualification

- FAIS Compliant
- Product category experience (Long term Insurance subcategory B1, B2, and Retail pension benefit)
- CPD – Continuous Professional Development – All cycles
- COB – Class of Business
- A valid driver’s license and your own car
- A clear criminal and credit check
- Proven computer literacy (MS Office suite)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Previous managerial experience
- Knowledge and exposure to Group Schemes (advantageous)
- (Internal) Successful completion of MODP (for applicants previously employed by Old Mutual)
- (External) Managerial qualification (advantageous)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
The role involves managing and coordinating the organization’s sales function to meet business requirements. You will oversee a large team of advisors to develop, maintain, and leverage client relationships to promote financial products and services.
Responsibilities include:
- Leadership and Direction: Communicate strategies, motivate teams, and align goals with organizational mission and values.
- Customer Relationship Management / Account Management: Develop plans for complex customer accounts, build relationships with decision-makers, and ensure their needs are met.
- Sell Customer Propositions: Configure and present complex product solutions, negotiate agreements, and review sales proposals.
- Sales Opportunities Creation: Network within the sector, represent the organization at events, and gather market intelligence.
- Performance Management: Manage team performance, set objectives, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Operations Management: Oversee operational areas, including development and delivery.
- Promoting Customer Focus: Develop marketing plans and collaborate internally to strengthen customer relationships.
- Key Account Management: Manage and develop relationships with key customers, including mid-tier and multinational companies.
- Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting: Identify and build relationships with potential clients.
- Budgeting: Develop and deliver budget plans under guidance.
- Organizational Capability Building: Identify development needs, plan training, and coach others to improve performance.
