Job Description

  1. Gr12 (Matric)
  2. FSCA Approved Qualification
  3. FAIS Compliant
  4. Product category experience (Long term Insurance subcategory B1, B2, and Retail pension benefit)
  5. CPD – Continuous Professional Development – All cycles
  6. COB – Class of Business
  7. A valid driver’s license and your own car
  8. A clear criminal and credit check
  9. Proven computer literacy (MS Office suite)
  10. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  11. Previous managerial experience
  12. Knowledge and exposure to Group Schemes (advantageous)
  13. (Internal) Successful completion of MODP (for previous Old Mutual employees)
  14. (External) Managerial qualification (advantageous)
  15. 2 years’ experience in the same role

The role involves managing and coordinating the organization’s sales function to meet business requirements. You will oversee a large team of advisors, develop and maintain client relationships, and stimulate demand for financial products and services.

Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and Direction: Implement strategy and motivate team to achieve business goals.
  2. Customer Relationship Management: Develop plans for complex customer accounts, build relationships, and address customer needs.
  3. Sell Customer Propositions: Configure solutions, present, and negotiate contracts.
  4. Sales Opportunities Creation: Network within the sector, represent the organization, and gather market intelligence.
  5. Performance Management: Oversee team performance, set objectives, and take corrective actions.
  6. Operations Management: Oversee operational areas, including development and delivery.
  7. Promoting Customer Focus: Develop internal marketing plans and strengthen external relationships.
  8. Key Account Management: Manage and develop customer relationships, support account teams.
  9. Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting: Identify and build relationships with potential customers.
  10. Budgeting: Develop and deliver budget plans.
  11. Organizational Capability Building: Identify development needs, plan, and implement training and coaching.
