Job Description

The role of a Sales Leader demands professionalism, integrity, and a customer-centric approach. A Sales Leader earns the respect and trust of customers who entrust their and their families' financial futures.

This role includes formal in-house training and ongoing development. Completion of regulatory exams is preferred but not compulsory, as this role does not involve advice-giving.

As a Sales Leader with Old Mutual, you will embody the company's core values of Integrity, Professionalism, and Customer-first, which have guided us for over 178 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage sales and expense budgets for a sales team within a branch, against set targets.
  2. Develop distribution strategies for products within the branch.
  3. Lead local marketing efforts.
  4. Identify and create coordinated sales opportunities.
  5. Build external networks and relationships with key stakeholders.
  6. Ensure delivery of customer value.
  7. Manage, develop, appoint, and train sales agents.
  8. Oversee 15-20 sales agents.
Requirements:
  • Matriculation Certificate (Grade 12)
  • RE5 qualification is advantageous
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Clear criminal and credit checks
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in sales
  • Proven computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
