Placements24 is seeking a skilled Metallurgist for a major mining entity in Rustenburg, North West. The role focuses on optimizing recovery and quality of minerals from ore, day-to-day plant operations, troubleshooting, and implementing improvements.

You will work with the plant operations team to meet production targets safely, applying knowledge of flotation, leaching, and solid–liquid separation, while ensuring environmental compliance.

Competenze

• Degree in metallurgy or chemical engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in metallurgical processing for base or precious metals.
• Experience with flotation, leaching and solid–liquid separation.
• Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.

This role is integral to optimizing the recovery and quality of valuable minerals from the extracted ore. The Metallurgist will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the metallurgical plant, troubleshooting processing issues, and implementing process improvements.
