Job summary

Managed People Solutions Pty is seeking a motivated Junior Merchandiser Intern to join our team in Johannesburg (Norwood/Rosebank). This role offers hands-on experience in the liquor and retail industry, focusing on creating eye-catching product displays and learning from leading brands in-store.

The stipend is R3500 per month, with TVET N6: 18-month contract and working hours of 9 hours per day (including lunch).

Qualifications

• Applicant must be under 28 years old.
• Currently unemployed and has not participated in a similar internship before.
• Has an N6 certificate in Marketing Management or Business Management.

Responsibilities

• Determine stock that needs to be merchandised.
• Ensure the correct stock is available in-store.
• Check product quality, rotation, and pricing.
• Set up products according to company merchandising standards.
• Report customer issues and requests.
• Maintain accurate merchandising records.
• Monitor and report out-of-stock items to management.
• Keep up to date with product knowledge and promotions.
• Execute store calls according to the call cycle.
• Advise the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) on out-of-stock products.
